For those who are interested in the auto headlight feature from the factory (see thread #4), it's definitely available. I spoke to Brighton spare parts this morning and they can get them out of Germany for $145.15 inc GST.
Part # is 04602348AD.

It was posted in 1 of the other threads and I actually called these guys yesterday and also ordered this part for my car.
