Couple of photos of my Mineral Grey srt8

For those who are interested in the appearence of the min grey srt8, here's a couple i took on the weekend in a carpark near my house. Note that the door trims are still on the beast, I plan on removing them as soon as i can persuade hemi57 to help me remove them one saturday arfternoon soon.....

Also, looking into changing the grill too, just gotta settle on the right one.

Damn if that isn't a beautiful car!
I have a Silver Steel SRT8 too (USA); I didn't realize it was so good lookin'!

I noticed your fenders have trim surrounding them. Is this a standard in Australia?

Wow, what a nice beautiful ride you’ve got there. The Mineral Gray is a very nice color. I too have a Silver Steel SRT8 and have been very happy with that color choice. Did I read that they are not going to be offering Min Gray any longer? Well done and thanks for sharing your beautiful baby with us!

Looks incredible mate. I love the color, I would have made that my choice if they offered it way back when. I have to say, it is better than silver steel because it doesn't have any blue or green in it. It is clearly grey which is why it looks mean. Best of luck to you.

Standard for the aussie spec'd srt8 models yeah, something to do with our compliance laws re the 20in wheels i think. Doesn't come with any other model 300c though obviously as they only have 18in wheels.

On that, i wonder if the after market modded 300c's down here with 20in and 22in wheels but no fender extensions, would that make them legal? As in, if anything happened do people think insurance companies might delay payouts based on the modded wheels but not having the extensions??

Don't color the grill, your car looks great with the dark paint contrasting the silver grill and wheels. Go for a mesh grill, even though everyone has them, the contrast will look great on your car.

Dom, just make an appointment with the doctor (or should I say butcher ) and we will get those nasty side moldings off.

Looking good there Dom. I am pleased to see you have been cleaning her.

I have one sponge and bucket for the panels, and one sponge and one cleaning device (sponge with handle for the interior) for the wheels, and use one bucket per two wheels. That's two buckets all up just for the wheels and one bucket for the rest of the car. I don't use the sponge or cleaning device allocated for the wheels on any of the panels at all, keep them seperate to avoid ingrained brake dust getting on panels causing all sorts of shenanigans (scratches) as i clean.

Interior mats are given a good shake and belting whenever i notice any gunk, and given a proper vaccuming once per week.

Using normal microfibre clothes to dry the panels, and a seperate glass cleaning microfibre cloth for the windows. All come up a treat and i see no reason for a chamois any more.

Got the meguirs tyre shine for the tyres and i give them a good coating, but then wipe off the excess with a dry rag. Makes the wheels really stand out and look shmick.

I reckon you taught me well boss hey what do you reckon?

Re the door trim, let me know when you are available and i'll work around you. I'm available most weekends, the missus is pretty understanding re the car.
