oh and you MUST move the sensors, or else the car will beep when you start it

INSTALL NIGHTMARE! Way to much trouble just to run the wrong ill-fitting rims. Seems like the shop that recommended/ordered the wrong size/offset and did not transer/install the sensors are highly incompetent!

Thanks rolin,

I am going to call them on Monday about the tyre pressure sensors as the beeping is driving me nuts! They still have my old wheels so before they drop them to my place I will get them to take them out. Failing that I might hold you too your offer :-)

The spoke to XHP and they hadn't had the problem before but last week two different companies both had the rubbing problem....someone must have changed something....but hey it is worth the hassle as I think they look great :-)

Yeah turk I am thinking of going with the crome pillar covers, they look great.

Firstly, let me say I reckon those wheels look sweeeeet Pusbum.

Regarding the sensors, having done mine on the weekend, it is a bit of a pain but takes only a short while at a decent tyre shop. I took all my new wheels up to the local Bob Jane and for $11 per rim (yep only 11 lousy bucks) they took the sensors out of the stock rims, transplanted them to the new rims and balanced them before putting them on for me. Not to mention putting a rubber valve back into the stock rims and pumping them up! $44 all up - job done.

Good luck and congrats!

Sean.

Well after having the wheels for a while now I am totally happy with how they look but still have some issues.

1) I still have some rubbing when hard lock in reverse and am concerned that the tyre place took to the control arms with a grinder. My 12000 km service next Wednesday could be interesting. It has been suggested that they may have ordered the wrong offset. How can I check what offset the wheels I have are and what should they be?

2) I get a shake in the steering between about 90 and 120km/h. To mee that indicates a need for a wheel alignment or balance. The tyre place has told me that this will happen with the large wheels and there is nothing I can do about it. Is that correct or are they just feeding me cr@p?
