I just found out about this, the link was posted on another part of the Forum,
http://www.lxforums.com/board/showth...rpheus+Project

or for a direct link to the Actual Site www.ProjectMorpheus.com

It seems really good, should get released towards the end of the year according to the link, alot more features compared to the Superchips

Thumbs up

Turk, thanks for that. My local research tells my that Eibach springs will suit the Oz model of car. Will set you back about $1000 supplied and installed. thhe Sportline kit is now available which drops that car about 40-50mm allround. Also, King springs have a product but what they do is disconnect the self levelling feature in the shocks to make it work..

On a brighter note, I am having discussions with Ron at Supechips and have sent him fuel specs for Oz (makes a difference if you work for an oil company). I have also sent him details of my vehicle and he is working on a solution. Will post outcome in due course!!

hang in there guys...

black hemi,

just about the shocks, their not really self leveling as such, they have an internal pump which requires no power source; see this thread
http://www.300cforums.com/forums/aus...ht=rear+shocks

So in short they cannot be disconnected, normally if you lower between 0mm-40mm you prob wont have any problems hopefully, but if you lower more than that the rear shocks will kick in and push the rear end up. Many many people have talked about this with serveral different suspension places all over australia, most people say that can fix it or turn it off, not the case, best thing to do is to explain the rear shocks like their "High Pressure shocks" so when too much weight or lower it they expand.

$1000 seems alright, my K-mac custom made springs installed were $640 altogther, and they were green, cool colour, but the other ones your getting might be more higher quality. so yeh let me know how you go with lowering and the superchips

GOOD NEWS!!!!

Have been in contact with the "Ron miester" at Superchips. He tells me that they are working on a new Flashpaq unit that he hopes to release in the US this fall (spring time for the Aussi's), the new unit will allow us to fully customise our tune including shift points, etc, etc. It will be matched up to our local Oz fuel specs so it should work fine (best to run it on high octance fuel - BP Ultimnate 98RON). I also found out that you will also be able to tell the ECU what diff ratio's your running. You can have 1000kw engine but if you don't have the right diff ratio's its hard to transform that power to pure acceleration. When I had the Monaro, I changed the diff rations from 3.07 to 3.7 plus got it up to 305kw - it had the power/torque and was able to accelerate from 0-100km/hr in 5 seconds flat. It also spun through the first two gears in the process. It continued to accelerate in a linear fashion right upto 160km/hr before it started to back off - not that one would want to occasionally break the law!! Even at 110km/hr crousing on the Motorways the car reved at around 2400rpm. The 300c's are running 2.82 diff ratio's at present - the idea is to change these down to around 3.5. This will result in around a 25% rev increase at 100km/hr but more importantly it should get the 0-100km/hr acceleration figures down to around 5 seconds thus blowing the doors off the SRT's - nasty!!! (All this for around $600US landed in sydney!!)

Will keep you posted

P.S. Lowered the beast using King Springs (30mm all round) yesterday. Cost me $500 supply and install - looks awsome and handles like a train on rails!! Love it...

What do you think of the K&N? Could you notice the difference? I put one on a Grand Cherokee, it sounded cool but I'm not sure I felt any power increase.

Club186, you need to do both the aircharger unit and the exhaust to get a difference. Also, just changing the air filter won't make any difference - the cold air intake tube is the main thing - gives you around 15kw alone plus say another 8kw from the exhaust. The other bonus is the responsiveness and mid range torque!! Aircharger unit will cost you around $400 from american Autos in Hombush Sydney. Exhause is around $1400 from Hi-Tek (Lambros) in Darlinghurst. i have only updated from the cats back. H&M headers are working on extractors - once available I will fit these as well!!

15kw?? This figure is outstanding for an intake tube for a 300C. Do you have any evidence of this figure? Any dyno runs to back this up?

G'day HBH.

I'm sure you've seen the numerous posts I made earlier this year regarding the Pinging issue when running the 91 Octane tune in Oz with even the highest RON fuels. I'm very eagerly anticipating Superchips' update to the software on the Flashpaq that enables custom tunes to be built so we can run a tune optimised for OZ fuels but based on your latest post it seems that is delayed significantly.

Couple questions for you if you don't mind please...

Can you just confirm that the "new unit" is actually the upgrade in software to the 3825 Flashpaq and not an entirely new device?

Given your work in the industry, is there a realistic likelihood that SC can build us a program for fuel in OZ based on what you supplied? I'd even be happy with a program that left the engine alone and just let us tinker with the trans and other settings.

Thanks, Sean
