Thanks for the tip (pun intended) Sydney300c. I'll probably change the tips with the exhaust at some point but agree that a change of tips now would make a big difference so I'll do that in a couple weeks.

Just because a few people have mentioned it, I'm actually not trying to replicate the SRT8 look but I do like using original manufacturer equipment though for modifications. For me the SRT wheels we're about keeping with Chrysler's vision and "options" and not the SRT8 300C variant per se. Dunno if that makes sense??

Thanks again. Sean.

Looks very nice!
Don't looks like it to me that you need any wheel spacers!
Did you have to adjust your speedometer or are the tires outside diameter the same size? (Stock wheels)

Gary

Thanks for the compliment Gary. I didn't end up recalibrating the speedo as the outside diameter is practically identical from stock to SRT rims depending on the tyre combo you get. I've also got the Superchips Flashpaq to recalibrate if needed but I'll do a couple runs against my Speed Laser gun (Hotwheels kids toy but amazingly accurate!! I am not kidding!!) and see how close the speedo is now.

I edited a previous post that now includes a link to a lengthy discussion held last year on the matter of swapping stock rims for SRT wheels/tyres for the 300C.

Cheers, Sean.

Hey thanks for the offer Dan. I'll save you the shipping though and (EDIT; very gently) scrape some dust off Hemi57 or Domenic's rides! Cheers, Sean

Nice wheels you’ve got there. Very classy and stylish. I guess I’m kind of partial to them for some reason. They look great! Are you going to paint the SRT on them?

G'day srt8danno, no I'll leave them the way they are - I really love the look of them. I also like the fact that they are original Chrysler equipment but I'm definately not setting out to create an impression it's an SRT8.

Just the improvement in handling alone has been worth the investment.

Thanks for the feedback....Sean

I'm not kidding, if i do a good clean on the in/out of wheels, *** then go driving around town for a few hours, the wheels are dirty again. One day's dust on an srt8 i would estimate as one week on my old commodore.
