yeh im not sure how they work,i have low profile tyres so i normally run between 40-42psi and on the dash they read 2.8 but normally when i just start the car their at 2.6, takes time to warm up, i did get a screw in one of my wheels and did notice the difference within a few minutes
would be better if the readout was in psi but not sure how to change it or even if you can
Hey Turk 182 , this is danny (be4st) chrysler 300, can you help me with my tyre pressure on the dash beeping crazily, tyre man said you can not set valve on tyres cos it doesnt work, as you have a set of 22's on your beast as well are they set on the computer dash with no beeping? thanks for reading this prob.. regards danny (melb)
yep when you get new wheels that should of taken out the tyre pressure sensors on the stock wheels and transfered them to the new wheels. but all depends if the new wheels can take sensors, most can, prob best to ring up who makes the wheels and check with them, otherwise i dont believe there is anything you can do to fix the beeping . if the new wheels can take them you can also buy another set from the dealer

hi Danny
I have tpm installed but these were sent from the US and dont work (may be the frequency they work off is different here dunno) I have my car booked in at Werribee Chrysler for a seat malfunction and also a look at the Tyre pressure monitors to see if they can pick up the frequency on the ones that are fitted or turn the system off ...they are looking into the software side for a fix ... ..I can let you know the outcome...
PRICE...for sensors are $104.00 each at DC
Also just to say.... in the process of changeing from stock rims to 22,s and back again for wheel alignment purposes my stock rims have sensors still in place all worked as should but when i put the 22's back on ..it took the tpm system 10 minutes to warn there was no air in 4 wheels ????it did this on two separate occasions ...
cheers frank

Tyres are running at 37psi registering at 2.6bar. Its interesting to watch the pressures change through general driving, doesn't seem to be as much of a change due to heat as I thought though.

hi all ...had my car at Werribee Chrysler today and the news is on my TPM from the US is they cant resett them as the freqeuncy is different to Australian version same part no but no go ...
Also the TPM system cant be turned off... so guys they will continue to beep every 10 mins...
Now for my fix ...I will need to take my stock rims ..remove TPM and replace with standard valve so they are usable
remove 22" rims ( very reluctant as they are balanced and running perfectly leave em alone i hoped ) fit with TPM Rebalance refitt ...easy!!!!
I have spoken to a mate who has a mate at Beaurepairs for a price to do the change over if they have the equipment to do so .. will keep informed
If anyone else has a contact who can price this for me and a few others May be interested.. would be appreciated....
in a nutshell 4x stock rims remove TPM and replace valve and balance
4 x 22" rims remove by hand (no ratchet gun on mine any way)
fit TPM balance and refitt
Thank in advance ...cheers frank

Frank, Snoop had his done for $44.00 all up by Job Bane (you know who I mean ). That was to swap over the sensors from the standard 18" to the SRT8 assemblies.
Good luck and thanks for the update on the different sensor frequencies, weird
