Hi Bernard. Congratulations on placing your order and welcome to the Forum.

I'm very interested in the idea of touring for a few days around Tasmania as I've been discussing the idea of a visit there with my wife for a while now!

I'll follow the thread here with interest.

Cheers, Sean.

Dear fellow forum members.

To start the ball rolling how about a trip to Tassie along the lines of:

Arrive Devonport on Spirit of Tasmania Saturday morning
Travel to Cradle Mountain Chateau
Walk around Dove Lake
Dinner at Chateau
Sunday drive to Queenstown
Train trip to Strahan on historic railway
Bus back to Queenstown collect vehicles for drivers
Sunday night at Strahan Village
Monday cruise on Gordon River
Those wishing to leave at this point can drive to Devonport for ferry - Others to Hobart
Monday night at Wrest Point
Tuesday travel to Port Arthur for lunch.
Tuesday afternoon travel to Freycinet Lodge.
Dinner at Lodge.
Wednesday Morning walk to Wine Glass Bay.
Wednesday night at Country Club Resort.
Thursday travel back via Spirit of Tasmania.

Dates completely flexible. This is to just flesh out some ideas.

You can find more information on ------------ (Oops I have just read rules on advertising - So I have dleted the link in case I iave contravened.)

All ideas and comments welcome.
