Front Fog Lights

Hi all,
I am, as expected, counting down the days, to take delivery of my 300C 5.7 HEMI which is 12 September 2006.

I am planning to change the factory fog lights globes. Has anyone done this yet? If so, what is the bulb specification (eg. H1, H7 etc) and is the access from underneath the front bumper or front inside the wheel arch.

Cheers,
DC300C

DC300C, take a look at this thread. It will provide all the globe types and was kindly put together by MrVelvet, Russ. Others should chime in with the best way to tackle the job:

Hi DC300,

I've been looking for a H10 that matches the HIDs, so far i've been unsucessful. However I've heard there is an alternate number that is somethign like 9454 or something like that. keep me posted if you find anything.

I'm not sure of how hard a job they are to change.

Hi DC300C,

I changed mine over in the first few weeks. I went with the recommendation of Meister (one of our esteemed and highly knowledgable U.S bretheren) who suggested a 9005 xenon plasma super white lamp from www.autolumination.com/headlights in the U.S. It's a 100W unit as opposed to the 55W standard unit and sell for U.S$11.99 plus freight.
I found it was easier to put the car up on a hoist (thanks to a mate) to remove the splash panels on the underside. Whole job took 30 minutes.

Cheers
Sean

Hi Sean,
Thanks for that. The 9005 bulb type is commonly known as the HB3, which is something I have come across before.

Yeah, I figured it would be accessed by removing the splash guards inside the front wheel.

Cheers,

I actually wasn't referring to the splash guards in the wheel wells I meant the one under the nose of the car thats attached to the underside of the nose section. Sorry if I caused confusion. Taking off the guard liners is not necessary.

Cheers
Sean
