Using the same logic we may be able to get the horn to sound on lock?

Tried to have DRLs activated but dealer advised no "Enable DRLs" in his Star Scan menu with US or Canada selected in country code. He was using the latest Star Scan software version 7.1.2

They may have taken that out of the latest StarScan updates. Check this thread out DRL Mystery Solved w/Tech Instrux, but start at post 215, and in particular post 218 by Que. He found a dealer with version 7.1. It looks like your dealer has a minor update to 7.1.2 so perhaps if you could find a dealer with just the 7.1 it may be possible for you as well. Hope this makes sense.

I was talking to Brighton Chrysler's service department last Friday about enabling DLRs. Even though I reckon I have a very good relationship with them they said they would not enable DLRs under any circumstances because it was not a local feature and if the owner or any subsequent owner took the vehicle to another dealer and they reset the computer then that would cause a Customer Satisfaction issue. That was their position.

Thanks Rambit. looks like we are not destined to have DRLs down under at the present time

Crikey!, a stealership that worries about Customer Satisfaction, and to the extreme! Isn't that refreshing?

Sounds a lot like the excuse that was tossed around up here: "It's a warranty issue with the headlights.", in that it is just as lame.

Face it, the down-under stealerships are just as IGNORANT about the existence and activation of DRL's as their U. S. of A.-brethern were until about a year ago. And as was the case here in the States, you'll just have to search out those stealerships willing to learn something about what they sell and service in order to get the job done.

Crikey!
