If our NA members venture in to read this, you will recognise Peter Brock from the Mobil1 ads on US television. They call him "a leading competitor". Of course Brock was well known in the UK.
RIP Brocky

I've met Brocky a number of times in my life and this has just gutted me. He was the most down to earth, genuine nice bloke I think I have met. He would talk with any one and never had an ounce of arrogance about him. A true gentleman. Two Aussie icons in a week - this is just not fair. RIP Brocky - you will be sorely missed.

Sorry about your losses this week guys. I have to admit I never heard of Peter Brock, but I did take the time to read up on him a little and found he won the Bathurst 1000, Australia's most prominent domestic motorsport event, a total of nine times through the 1970s and '80s. Sounds like he was a true national hero.
R.I.P.

He was a legend. Brings back some good memories of being on top of the "hill" at Bathurst back in the 80's. The end of an era......
