On a similar thread, its there any way to lock doors without arming the alarm? THe manual doesn't seem to say so.

For example, if you wanted to leave something/someone in the car with the doors locked.

Not to alarm the purists here, but I have on occasion left my dog (relax relax - she is small and non chewing, non shedding, with full seat covers), to return to the car 30 seconds later with her 'skitzing' due to lights and horns blaring.........

Anyone?

Hi Melbman
I haven't tried this but what if you lock the doors with the key and not the remote. That may lock the doors from the outside without arming the alarm.
I think I read somewhere that it's the remote that locks/arms and unlock/unarm functions. Should try it myself.
