Ho Ho Ho..Merry Xmas Mods!

Hi all. In order to keep myself free to un-pack and assemble the kids pressies on Xmas day, I have pre-installed the Xmas gifts to myself. It seemed fair!

I ordered a Mopar CAI and Trex Hybrid Grille (billet Aluminium and stainless wire mesh) a few weeks ago and after a long wait while paperwork got sorted and the stock came in it arrived a week ago from the US. I was not sure I'd be able to post the pics tonight as there were some light but ugly scratches in the billet aluminium. I spoke with the metal polisher who modified my SRT rims and ended up polishing out the scratches by hand with good old BriteShine cotton wadding - a tin I bought years ago for cleaning the chromies on my Cortina...

The CAI sounds absolutely amazing! I've managed to murder the MPG in a day or two because the sound is awesome. I've decided that, for the moment, I can live without the Borla because of the note the CAI creates. For those of you lined up for "Hammer Time" I'm sure the sound will be even better.

She had a trip into Brighton Chrysler on Thursday for another 6k service (yep - still only 6.5k after a year), fitment of the grille and they kindly did the WOT hesitation TSB, fixed up my squeaky brakes and the recall for funny indicators. After re-tuning today with the Flashpaq I am ecstatic. Shifts are magnificent and I've gotta be careful not to shred the back tyres with the ESP off.

Here are a few pics. I bloody well love this car! Merry Christmas all and I hope Santa has been dropping by the forum picking up ideas for you too.

Cheers, Sean.

Great on Snoop. I am very pleased to hear that the marks on the grille turned out okay.

We reallly have a growing CAI Brigade. I love my humble (compared to the Airhammer) Mopar CAI.

You were initially happy with the Chrysler "flash" last time we spoke. Seems it just got even better. Top stuff

Hey Sean - that grill looks AWESOME!! OMG, I have to get one of them! You have a real fine machine there now my friend. Great mods, yet still a very classy looking car. Good job!

Merry Christmas mate to yourself, Rachel and your two girls. We will definitely catch up in the New Year before the next M&G for a Sunday barbie. Stay safe.
