Hi Esquolax, welcome to the forum.

Just to get it out of the way, my 300 is a bone stock 5.7, no mods at all (unless you call my recent scrape a mod)

it is true that my 300 never broke out a sweat, the car never ceases to amaze me. even when i was going through the mentioned curve, i never felt any abnormal feedback on my wheel or any slippage (definately can't say that about my old car where my wheels would hold grip properly until i was half way through second gear even when dry!) i felt perfectly planted despite knowing that i was on a "2 ton RWD barge" as you had so eloquently put it.

i had never mentioned this as a kill but rather i hoped it would be an entertaining read for those on the forum as i love reading similar stories posted by the other members whether it be a kill, a dead heat, being killed or even just an entertaining read. Despite this, i think the run at the lights could possibly be catergorized as kill can't it? hehe

unfortunately i know that my literary skills may not be up to par as some other members (especially when i've got a ton of work to do at work) i do provide good and honest information and my own opinion on things. what i had written was a slice of my life that i had wanted to share with the members on this forum as i thought that it was an interesting incident. you may back the XR6T and say either he was stuck in a gear or you could agree with me and say the 300C is a marvelous piece of work. Either way, it's your own opinion and you are free to express it if you wish.

anyway, back on topic, as Hemi57 said, driven many 300Cs you say? pray tell!

Thanks for the welcome guys.

1st of all I have driven numerous 300c's (no srt8's unfortunately) without being in the business; I was going to buy one so I 'borrowed' a couple here and there from 2 separate dealers for extended test drives and found them to have remarkable road presence which I liked, but an interior I couldn't get my head around for such a 'niche' car..
My uncle, who worked for Chrysler and is now retired as of late. He had taken a few home and let me take them out which made for some amusing rides.
If I could have budgeted the 300c SRT8 and it had better fuel consumption, it would be in the driveway, but alas I couldn't and went for a F6 typhoon which I will proudly add I'm loving more and more every day and can get some tremendous fuel consumption figures for city driving from this rig; so long as you can hold her back of course!

I didn't mean to have a go at your 'encounter' however it really does seem odd to me at first, unbiased having driven these cars I just don't see how it was done, they aren't that far off each other in stock trim; all that maters in this individual case however is that *you* had a great ride that held its own and was able to give some fool a good slap against the back of the head, kudos.
