no owners manual - not happy

took delivery of 300c srt8 on december 21 last year and was informed that owner manual missing , so ok thought i would give them some time over the Christmas break to get one. Nothing happened so had to start chasing this week.
Dealer did give me a 300c owners manual as a temporary fix but i am just keeping for emergency use only.
Dealer contacted DC and told that this is also a problem with other Chrysler vehicles - guess they thought somehow this would comfort me in that there are lots of other people in same boat etc what a total BS line then they said they had no estimated delivery date for the manual!!!!!!!! what a joke
has anyone else had this problem??
any suggestions who i should contact at DC??
will be asking them to provide me with a photocopy of manual till they get it in.

From what we have seen before I would think that 'maverick' can point you in the right direction.
Anybody know if the latest 300C owners manuals have been corrected where the oil specs were printed wrong?
cheers

johndiesel, I have not heard of this before. I find it somewhat incredible actually. Must be Hans or Gustoff over there on the Austrian production line taking timeout and not popping one in every car.

If it is any consolation there is not much difference between the 300C and SRT8 manuals. Sure the specifications will be different but all the features are exactly the same so the operational instructions are covered.

Keep riding them and if necessary drop a letter to DCA to highlight the issue.

This is the second time today where I have recommended writing to DCA if you do not receive satisfaction. I wrote a letter to DCA about my on-going ABS Module saga (I randomly get 4 error lights on my dash and all dynamic safety systems are disabled). Brighton Chrysler service have been working with me on the problem but it has been going on for so long I wanted to formally register my dissatisfaction with DCA. Their letter of response was received yesterday and I am waiting for the dealer to contact me to get the new part fitted.

Unfortunately over the years I have had crap service from Holden, Honda and Ford dealerships. The best advice I have is to build a relationship with your dealer, be reasonable & patient, treat them with respect and it usually pays dividends.

As someone who works in the car industry, doing what John has just said will get you much further than being abusive, rude or kicking up a stink. I always say treat people how you would want to be treated and you can't go wrong (usually!). Hope you get it sorted soon JD.

Coming soon....

I picked my SRT up on 19th Dec from Gold Coast C/J and got a call today from them to say: " The owners manuals are now printed and we will have them in around 5 working days, and will mail yours out."

It does suck having a nice ride but not knowing wtf the warning lights on the dash represent. For now it's just esthcatalogical hope.(The hope of that which is to come.)

Cheers,

Cruzmat.
