Angry My bad luck just keep rolling on and on and on.......

Well was parked in the city tonight for a friend's bday party and when i got back to the car, guess what i found? Someone smashed my rear passenger side window. and what can the police do? "we've taken a report, your police report number is blah blah blah, unfortunately as there was no casualties, we will not attend the scene."

to add injury to insult, she asked me whether i can tell whether any weapon was used to break my window, i mentioned there's nothing i can see except a sausage on the street and that i don't think that could be the weapon (photo attached) she couldn't stop laughing.

called up my insurance, was stupid enough not to take the window option so couldn't help. called up O'brien's glass, nothing was on the system so couldn't give me a quote. called up Chrysler care, they said they are a contracting company and couldn't help me dealer part costs.

the most infuriating thing was there was nothing in my back seat and nothing was taken from my car including my laptop underneath the driver's seat, my wallet in the driver's door and my camera in the glove box. there was nothing they could have seen to motivate them to break my window. it's so infuriating. i'm going to have to cancel my golf game and call around for a dealer to fix my car and i'm at least $400 down all for nothing.

if i ever catch those *****s, i will skin them alive.

oh yeah, this in addition to the over $600 in fines in the last month

Spectre,
Sorry to hear and see the damage done by some vandal. I can't believe your insurance company's plan won't cover broken glass.

Personally, I'm stunned you had all those valuables inside the cabin of your car rather than locked up in the trunk or completely removed. Believe me, in most places here in the States, what you had hidden from view would have been found in seconds and long gone. I have a weird feeling that the crime in progress was somehow interrupted and that's why you still have your valuables.

Regardless, no one should have touched your baby. I hope you don't have any more poor luck and that you will soon have a new rear window.

As for that sausage, maybe there's some DNA left on it to identify who was messing with your car.

Let us know when you get your car repaired.

So sorry to hear about that. Had to been somebody just walking by. Nice to catch the person and show him how to smash the other side, with his head.

Yes, i should have locked them up in the boot, the wallet and camera i was suppose to bring out with my to my friend's party but forgot. the laptop is my work lappy and was suppose to leave at home but didn't remember it was in my car till afterwards. our overseas alarms have interior sensors so i suspect that must have gone off and scared away these idiots.

Sorry to hear that. Glass seems to be incredibly expensive to replace. I got in a wreck last year in my '02 Grand Cherokee. Some kid in an '83 Caprice jumped out in front of me and I t-boned him. No injuries, no airbag deployment and I was able to drive away. The Caprice was totaled, of course. Anyway, with the damage I had I was sure they would total the GC but no. Here's the interesting thing... the body man told me that if I had brolen every piece of glass in my GC then it would have been totaled. So strange.

What a bummer ...jealous or intererupted ...lucky your gear was ok...

If i caught them would have shoved that sausage so far up their ****

Or... Yes ... Officer he slipped on that sausage and hit his head on my knee as i tried to stop him from falling on the the roadway hence the broken bones and multiple bruising...But i did not lay a finger on him..

Anyway hope your repairs arent too much a headache ...Frank
