I'm running DZeckhausen's ( spelling?) Posi Quite brake pads. The pads elinated 90% of my brake pad dust problem. Before I got his pads, I was dusting my wheels twice per day. What a pain. Now I don't clean or dust my wheels until I wash the car. I'm very happy with the Posi Quite pads and Dave's service is superior.

DEEP DISH, yup , Dave's products and service are the way to go.

C-Tek pads (F) & Posi Quiets (R) have been on SRT 61 since this news broke last year. I am fitting up the ones that Domenic has had in his cupboard for a while next weekend.

They do require a extra effort when cold and watch out after a thorough washing and wetting down, but the way to go

Dave is a supporting vendor so you should have no problems finding his site from the Forum.

I really haven't had this kind of issue, but I have posi's all the way around.

John,

Why did you choose C-Tek pads (F) & Posi Quiets (R) and not Posi all round?

News broke about the C-Teks and they were in short supply. I actually wanted C-Teks F&R but opted for the Posi Quiets for the rear. The Posi's create a slight bit more dust but it is barely noticeable.

I have not followed the recent discussions on brake pads but I have picked up that members are getting Posi Quiets these days as opposed to C-Teks however I think there is a tie up somewhere and they may be the same pads branded differently.

Just a note of cautions: Years ago, some mechanic in London once told me about the health issues on brake dust, please wear mask when dusting otherwise wash it off with soap/water. Some manufacturers use softer compound in brake pads to prevent excess wear and tear to the brake discs (rotors) hence large amount of dust being produced during heavy braking. Please consider the issue when changing to a harder compound brake pads which produce less dust but wear out the discs quicker.(See "Ganxta"'s thread about worn discs) They used to sell dust cover for wheels but some find it reduces the cooling on the braking system. When changing to a harder compound pads, it is better to match it with better quality discs, the standard discs may not able to handle it.

I haven't seen you post if you found the link to Dave's site or not yet. The Centric C-Tek pads were the first ones available to us. I was one of the beta testors for the first 5 sets. The Posi Quiet pads became available to us a little while later.

If you care to read this thread it's self explanatory. Some great pics and it's a very easy job anyone can do. Dave has a link in his sig to his site where you can order these pads. Say good bye to dust!
