New Key Remote

Hi all. I have seached in the Australian section with not too much luck (thats not to say it wasnt there!!), anyhoo, I did not get a spare key with my second hand C and went to the dealer to price a replacement and nearly faintedf when he told me he wanted $450 for - the key, cutting, programming etc...
Does this sound right or are there dealers who do it cheaper.....

try adelaide chrylser jeep... they seem to be reasonable for that kind of stuff. (there no where near me i have only brought stuf over the phone from them)
