Question Promoting 300C forums

Following on from the conversation I started on the "Which state do you live in poll", I thought it would be appropriate to start a new thread.

As I mentioned, I see at least three 300's per week that aren't members. I can't assume they would all join as they may not be interested but I (like many members) stumbled across this site by accident.

Perhaps at events such as "Chrysler on the Murray" & the Sydney "All Chrysler day", we could put a banner up if we have a display or put stickers on our cars (either permanently or temporarily). Any ideas?

Victoria seems to be doing ok and I can't speak for the other states but I am sure there are many more Sydney members to convert. If Tom Cruise can convert James packer to Scientology, I'm sure we can convert some punters....Any ideas?

Thats a good idea. I stick my three fingers up at every 300c driver I see trying to promote the site. Unfortunately they all ignore me.

are you sure it's 3 fingers your sticking up might be a reason why they ignore you but just jokes mate, i notice around here the other 300c drivers all seen to give each other a nod when passing by. Stickers are a great idea and i can send them out with each inquiry or upgrade

I know this is an Aussie thread and all, but sometimes you make me laugh Michael...haha.

I was coming out from the bank yesterday after making a deposit and saw this guy standing beside his 300. I noticed he had a mesh grille so I thought I'd slip him one of my dork cards. Well, the guy was smoking a joint, looked at me like I was nuts and said it was a friend's car. I moved on feelin' a little silly, well dorklike if you have to know...haha.

Hey you guys, I changed the oval sticker at Cafepress to a black backgound. I think if it was put on the back window, especially with tint it wouldn't be too in your face, but the forums logo would show through nicely. It's only $2.49 too.

Bernie, you went and did that just after I bought the white version. Oh well, I have a discontinued version which might become a collectors item (yeah right!).

On the promotion side of the discussion, we have been fortunate to have the Friday HeraldSun Cars Guide which has a "What's On" page where we get some exposure to the general public. Our M&Gs average about 30 x 300Cs and we always get lots of punters coming along for a look see.

Postage on the sticker will cost more than the sticker itself!

Michealr - if you stuck 3 fingers up at me, I wouldn't know what the f__K you were doing either & you'd probably get a 1 finger solute back from me...

Those stickers are probably too small to read on the move, unless they are the same size as those on the side of a taxi. I remember in the "old" days, people put metal club badges on the grilles. (like the AA badge and the RAC badge in UK) We should get those owner when they get their cars, but guess dealers don't like to promote the Forum too much.
