SRT8 2007 and 2008 built dates..any different?

hi all

its been a while.

my mate about to purchase a 2007 srt8, we thought we ask the question before he buys one. Is the 2008 built ones have any extras or they exactly the same as the 2007 built?

cheers

2008 model will look different, front nose, interior. If its a built 2007 delivered 2008 then yes its the same. The 2008 doesnt imo look as agressive as the 2007.

Don't think the actual 2008 model will be selling here until later. There are pictures of 2008 model in the "European Diesel Powered" Forum, but is not on sales in UK yet. If buyers don't mind the current model and/or not willing to wait for the new model, there are good bargains around.

hi

the new srt8 will have different stereo system which will have a color screen, even a hard drive, head and tail lights different and the beauty will still remain at the same price, engine wise not sure if they will increase the KW.
will be release late march early april. Basically few cosmetics here and there i think its worth the wait!!!! this what iwas told by Berwick Chrysler.

This what i read in an article:

Significant changes are in store for the 2008 Chrysler 300. An updated interior includes new soft-touch surfaces, revised instrument panel and console designs, and available LED accent lighting. New luxury-oriented options include adaptive cruise control, a surround-sound audio system, a dedicated iPod interface, Sirius Backseat TV for the rear entertainment system and a new hard-drive based MyGIG multimedia system with optional navigation. Safety has been enhanced with new front seat-mounted side airbags added to the 300's available side curtain airbag system. Wrapping everything up is freshened front and rear exterior styling and Chrysler's new limited lifetime powertrain warranty

cheers

I have discovered that the MYGIG set-up in the 2008 models is in fact a Sirius brand device so Fadi was correct with his information. 40Gb Hard Drive apparently.

Yep, interior has improved. Centre console & door trims are much nicer.
Adaptive cruise control, SRT calipers are now red, The boot lid has the centre stop lamp - very similar to a sebring.

No power upgrade on the SRT, pretty sure the others are the same too.
