Unhappy It's time to say goodbye..........

Well, I never thought this day would come - but it has and here I am telling you guys I'm selling my car. After 2 years of the best motoring in my life, it is time to let go of my beloved 300C.

Changing family circumstances and the pressure of being on one income has taken its toll, and financially it just doesn't add up for me any more. I have made some great friends from this forum and I am very grateful for that.

Obviously I won't be around here as much anymore (at least not in the same capacity I have been) but I will still drop in from time to time.

Thanks for everyones help from across the globe whenever I had a question to ask and for being the best forum board I have ever dealt with.

To my Melbourne friends, I will still come to the M&G's (jected - Daniel) has offered me his passenger seat!! - and I hope to stay in contact.

Thanks again everyone.

ps here's the link to my car on carsales :

Well, Ill post what I put in the General Discussion forum here too:

Jeez Shane, I've certainly enjoyed you around here for a long time, especially when I was working wierd hours and checking this site at 5 in the morning when all the Aussies were up and about. You were always one of those who were around.

Do what you need to do, but come back like lots of others who've sold their cars do. We came for the car, and stayed for the people! Not sure if it was NR or Linda who first said that, but it's true!

Bernie

Well Shane,

I have only just moved to Melbourne from Sydney and never had the pleasure of attending a M&G with you , but who knows maybe in the future.

All the best and buy a tats ticket as soneone has to win.

But then again you would have the dilema or what car would you buy if you had $10,000,000.

I guess you would go Viper SRT10 for the weekends and 300c SRT8 for the weekdays.

Cheers , Bruce

Shane,
Sorry to hear about your decision. I would like to thank you for the effort you took in making myself and Ange feel welcome when we first joined the Forum.
All the best to you and the family and I look forward to catching up in the future.
You never know you will win tatts on Saturday and withdraw the car from sale.

Bloody hell Shane. This is not the news I was expecting.

You and Sean (Spock1) were thick as thieves and I spoke personally with Sean when he made the same difficult decision a long time back. You have obviously done all the sums and this is the way to go for you. Not so many mix-ups with the red light & speeding fines now eh? (although Michaelr has hung his plates up anyway).

I understand it will be hard to have the motivation to log-on here but I certainly hope you do as it is clear that members value your contribution. No-one actually recognised your quotes in the HeraldSun when they did that article on the 300C as a user buy. I just forgot to mention it when I spoke to you too.

The next M&G is not far away so watch out for it and come along.

You have been a great contributor and I thank you for that and wish you all the very best for the future.

Shane, I can understand the situation and wish you, Harmony and the growing family all the best for the future. Hope we will catch up at a future M&G.

Cheers
