300C windscreen = A$489.00

On my way back from Sydney yesterday, a haulage truck pulled out in front of me and spitted a rock onto my windscreen. Didn't notice any crack until I washed the car this afternoon . Went to O'Brien Windscreen people, the crack is too long to repair, needs a new one. Apparantly the windscreen has to come from Canada. Quoted A$489.00 I thought it would be much more.

Send a message via MSN to 300c Touring
If he got the quote in writing he should get it fixed before they change their mind

Yep, its rainsensing windscreen supply and fit. Quoted A$489.00 I got it in writing on a small "O'Brien" Business card. They have to get back to me when the windscreen arrives from Canada. Just wait and see when they call me.

You guys are making me worry now. I better keep the quote card in a safe place as they said the windscreen may take two weeks to arrive.

The shipping on that glass from Canada would be more than the $489 quoted. Just had a look at our rates and even on an economy (slow) service works out higher than that (unless sea freighting it in, however that is 8-9 weeks).

Definitely hold on to that card.
