Well I have managed to survive this long and longer than the doctors estimated at the beginning of my cancer saga. I had some rough times along the way where it was touch and go but I fought the demons off and came out in reasonable shape.
Paula and I took a 5 day visit to Cairns the week before last and did some of the things I wanted to do before I die:
Visit Cairns
Fly in a Chopper
See the Great Barrier Reef
Eat some wonderful seafood
The temperature and environment up there did me a world of good too and it was therapeutic after Melbourne's cold and damp.
Here is a Pic of Paula & I which is not the greatest in quality, but hey the content is okay. LOL
Please keep in touch.

Great to hear from you John... and great to see that the two of you've been able to get back on your feet and away from it all. Here's hoping that the days ahead grow brighter and more fun all the time.
But what else is on your "bucket list"?

Good to hear your out and about John and might I say you have a lovely looking lady
What did you think of Cairns?? The cook reckon it's good for shopping and I reckon it's good for perving but thats about it
Chopper aye, wouldn't mind a run myself one day too but was it loud in the cab?? When I hear then from ground level when one floats past the ones around here almost defen me
As for the other two your on your own there, probably help if I could swim though
John good to hear from you. Have you started chemo again? Last time I remember you mentioned you were having your blood checked and all going well you'd be able to start it up again.
My father's wife just started chemo herself, she's not looking forward to losing all her hair but it seems you have been able to retain most of yours? How does that work are there some that dont make you lose your hair? I'm a little ignorant.
I dont reckon you look that bad for a bloke who reckons he's crook.

Hi John and Paula:
I reckon the content in your pic is of the highest standard. It's really great that you have given us an update John. I was just thinking about you today. We are off for another caravaning trip this week for the next three. Going to do some "out back" NSW stuff. Lightning Ridge, Bourke, Cobar..plus a heap of other places one reads about in our history. I will post a few pics as usual.
