Hi CRD
How come the dealer gets your car 3 days before you get theirs??
Usually hand over the keys when you get the new ones
Hope you scored a good zoom zoom deal because you in no man's land at the moment
Good choice of car though
Don't be a stranger. Drop in some time.
Cheers
Thanks Jaffa, since the CRD was just sitting in my garage, might as well let the dealer have it early as I am transferring the "old" number plates onto the CX9. Unfortunately one has to do one's best to please one's wife. Sad to give up my CRD, I will miss it but I will definitely keep drop in this forum. It was strange that on the day the dealer salesman came to pick up the CRD, the CRD wouldn't start straight away, took me few goes to get it going. It never happened before as if it didn't want to leave. (mind you, it could be because it was sitting in the garage for too long, only got out once a week)
Thanks "protego" for interested in buying the rotors/pads, but Perth is a bit too far. I shall wait to see if anyone at the East Coast is interested first. By the way, those rotors/pads should also fit Hemi.
300C-CRD, so long as you brought the pads and rotors from the states to suit a hemi car, then they will fit all of our aussie models except for the SRT8. We get the same brakes on both the hemi and 6 cylinder models over here, whereas the US 6 cylinder cars get lesser brakes on the rear than the hemis.
Thanks Protego, I've checked the size on those new rotors/pads and they are the same to those on CRDs, it is good to know that they are good for Hemi too. Anyone wearing out their rotors/pads yet? Just remember that I've got the complete sets front and back.
Just ship them west mate, I'd actually be tempted to take the tyres too, but the diesel tuner is not much good to me (mind you I could always buy the missus a CRD jeep).
I know I will be needing some brakes (rotors rather than pads) in the not too distant future, sitll have a full set of new tyres here, but they don't last that long either.
I've done over 70,000 km on my CRD and it still has the original rotors and pads. But as Protego was saying, the tyres don't last as long, changed them around 50,000 km. Anyway, eventually someone will need to change their rotors/pads and tyres, I am very tempting to take a long drive to Perth. (good excuse to get away for a while).
