I got a set as well of a 2006 300c . Mine are $900.00 as well and located in dandenong but can deliver anywhere in Melbourne . I did about 3 months of daily driving to and from work

sooo I was getting a little desperate so I decided take Wog Boys advice and buy 22" tyres today and swap them later when I get the new car.

Hi 300C-CD, how much for the front rotors & pads?

I replaced mine with slotted rotors and have had nothing but trouble.. makes a hell of a noise under brakes..

The noise sounds like if you drive over ripple strips.

I suspect it's loose brake pads that causing the noise and not so much the slotted rotors.
There has been mention in previous thread of spray adhesive or high temp grease applied to the back of the pads to absorb the minute rattle that transforms to a squeal. Just search the forum for brake pads change to find the thread.

It may be a solution & save you some dosh $$
