conceptb, okay I have cut a CD for you and get that mailed in the next day or so. It is a collection of pictures and other 300C related stuff I have mainly collected from the forum over the past 14 months or so.

The are a few movies (roadtests and other clips) in there also that members have uncovered.

specs

If any of you guys want to see a specs sheet pm with your email addy and I will send it to you.
I got this sent to me by the dealer after I told him how unhappy I was about not receiving any updates (news letters). I was told that the head guy from Chrysler Australia would personaly call everyone, who put money down, to give them an update and just for a bit of PR. None of that has happened since I put my money down in April.
The spec sheet is not for the public and is a guide for salesmen on how to sell the 300C.
I was blown away by the amount of features this car has. I knew it was good but it really is awsome!
So basicly it is a german car like mercs and BMWs etc.
I am really happy with our decision, to buy the 300C.

Aussie 300C, good to see you visiting again.

I have a "slide" pack (hardcopy) which may be the same spec sheet you have. It is written to be obviously for sales people to promote the 300C.

Other than the very occasional call from my dealer, I have not had any calls initiated from Chrylser HQ myself, but when I call my contact there he gives me as much time as I need to talk about the car.

Hopefully under 3 months now until the 300C release

Talking

Hey Guys

Just joined....what a relief to see some Ozzies here, closer to home to know what's happening on our side of the chrysler 300C world ! ! Good to hear the news for OZ delivery. We have been given the same timeline in NZ(ie mid NOV), 22 units are coming with 13 presold ! (I've put in a deposit for mine......going for black, hard to pick colour of a small chart!!....should have paid more attention to colour when looking at these cars in real life in USA....can't really blame myself though, was blown away by the car itself!!!!).

Posts are very informative. I am wanting to get some chrome pillars, mesh grille and if budget allows some 20" chrome wheels.

Has anyone successfully imported any of these to OZ? Probably likely timeline for delivery to NZ?! would really appreciate if someone could please advise some contacts (websites etc) that they have successfully used for importing any accesssries.

NZ Hemi, welcome. Great to see another A/NZ member on board.

I have had my E&G mesh grille stored away in my cupboard since last November but I am still procrastinating about the wheels and tyre package. I got the grille from Wyckoff Chrysler, who are a sponsor on this forum. The only minor complaint I had was there were no shipping options offered and the product arrived within a week of order at a shipping cost of around US$75. It has been sitting in the cupboard ever since and I would have preferred a cheaper and slower shipping. I was also lucky I didn't get "pinged" for duty.

There are sponsor wheel & tyre dealers here on the forum who other members recommend. For some reason 2 dealers I had been communicating with, querying the cost and type of shipping, stopped e-mailing me when I asked for a cheaper price shipping option. Sevan from allstarrims.com did get back with a UPS shipping method which would deliver in 4 weeks and save about US$200 from the original US$700 shipping fee, but broke communication when I continued to ask about shipping by ship/sea. Anyhow, I still have about 3 months wait to take delivery of my 300C so I might move on the wheels in the next week or so.

The reason I am sensitive to the cost of shipping is because Australian Customs applies import duty to the whole cost (including shipping) and that could add a bit to the deal.

Send me a personal message with you e-mail address and we can speed up our correspondence if you want.

Cheers

Hi Hemi 57,

I've been hunting around for a good price on wheels and tyres to Australia, but so far I've come up with nothing decent. Your info is always helpful, keep it coming

Headrest screens

Hi guys
I have been looking around for headrest screens and came across ones that have dvd in each one.
http://www.300cforums.com/forums/sh...light=headrests
is the page I found them on and very interesting too
however on page 3 he goes on to say he no longer sells many of them as the factory ones are a much better unit
so off I went looking for them.......and couldn't find them anywhere
do you know of these screens?

Dave

ps I spoke with my dealer and he called chrysler and they told him that they could not fit the screens to the aus cars for a reason that escapes me atm.
so am waiting to hear back from the guy who got them installed in the usa.

Thanks Hemi57, appreciate your help ! !

Have had a quick look at http://www.wyckoff-mopar-parts.com/ , seems they have all the things that I am after, will initiate correspondence and see how it goes??!

Customs here is ok.....btw I have a friend in an international courier co, so needless to say freight would be a bit cheaper for me....hopefully. :o)

Hey, due to practical reasons, I need to have installed height adjustable suspension. (no not talking about jumping hydraulics!). Entry to my garage is off a very steep drive and I think I will have problems with the 300c ride height.((someone suggested selling our house!!)

I am mainly interested in say some gizmo that would give me an extra 2-3inches in height at the touch of a button.......any leads on this avenue?

oops sorry was meant to PM you.

NZ Hemi, no, you have got me on that one

The only thing I knew about years back was the pump up shockers and an on-board compressor which was the set-up used for automatic ride levelling. I haven't heard of a set-up like you're requiring other than Hydraulics or Air Bags, ie. low rider style.

Maybe my earlier suggestion to post your queries here on the forum should have been a bit more specific, try raising the question/s as a new thread in the appropriate area, eg. head rest screens in the Interior modifications section. Then it should get a bit more visibility.

Welcome from New York

I waited 6 months for mine, so you mates are in great shape.

You'll love it.

Good luck down under. Gotta go fire up the barbie. (no, really I do)
