Hi all. Thought it was time to speak up. anybody else get the call last friday from Chrysler. They confirmed our vessel has left port on way to Oz. and our dark blue 300 is on board. Was concerned that as so few blue cars coming we might be waiting for second shipment. Only 156 cars on first ship and only 5 blue cars coming total.
Hemi 57 I was wondering if those plates were going on a 300 when vicroads told me they were taken. Now we know. Gotta think of something else I guess.
NZ Hemi if you look at Aust Street Machine magazine Oct. 2005 issue (just out here) two pages in from the cover on the bottom right hand corner of the page "load assist" is pretty close to what you are looking for I think.
Re. the 20inch billet wheels. Can I suggest you contact Grant at Ausam wheels in Melb. We have bought several sets of billets from him and price and delivery have always been spot on! Last set were 20inch Billet Specialties with a custom offset. Less than three weeks from ordering to us having them on the car. Also he has a trade in service. Decided that we will wait till we have had the 300 for a while to make a decision on new wheels when we can see it in the flesh.
cheers for now.

Arnold, I actually have a direct contact with Chrysler HQ here and had been talking to them about actually assigning a specific car to me. Maybe it was my prompting which encouraged them to get moving on allocating cars to all the early held orders?? They said I was numero ono. I did post this on another thread last week.

I visited my dealer Wednesday and they reckon they have only been allocated 3 cars from the first batch, one of which is mine. Some people who forward ordered will have to wait for later shipments for their cars.

Not surprising that there are no V6s in the first shipment/batch as nobody has placed an order here for a V6.

Arnold, here I was thinking I was the "king of the patch" and now I find out you have more information than I do.

I heard that DC OZ were negotiating to get the starting price down under 65k but to get it to 60k is outstanding.

I'll be looking out for you.

WOW!!
I am actually tingling with excitement over that price. You know what this will do to the top line Statesman and the Ford LTD now. The 300C will sell like hotcakes! I had already budgeted for $75K and then some for my wheels-exhaust-DVD screens etc but now I feel like I can go a little more crazy.

Hi all. Got a call from the dealer today to resign the sales contract at the new price, so went and did that. Does that mean its set in concrete? I hope so.
If you have ordered head lite & bonnet protectors, they will be about two weeks after vehicle as they are manufactured here in Oz. Reckon you might need them, as replacement for one head lite will be around $3000aus according to my source.
Cheers

Arnold, yeah I guess you are "set in concrete". It is interesting to hear the calls you get from your dealers and DC HQ. I suppose because I am so active in my calls to them they reckon I don't need the extra calls.

On the subject of "headlights", I would have expected that the lens to be the Poly Plastic so it would not be likely that you would bust one? Seems all cars these days are that type and protectors are only going to save them from stone chip blemishes. Have you thought about applying the clear plastic film?

BTW, this is my last post before I jump on the plane to LA in a couple of hours.

Take it easy every one. See you members in OC on Saturday
