Hey Yellow Toy

Thought I would take you up on your offer to continue our convo here. Thanks for the compliment, from when I first saw it, I fell in love. The previous owner ticked all the right boxes when he ordered it, and bang for buck, best car out there. Only pain is no trailer hitch, which would of been a nice option to have.

However its starting to have a few of the common annoying problems. A few carbon fiber pieces have come unglued, there is a rattle coming from the back (Most notably with bass-ier songs) and I have condensation in the drivers headlight. I found an excellent walkthrough to fix the rattle and possible fix for headlight (in threads here), and now I just need to find the time to tackle them.

But man, you just take off from the lights and all the problems go away and it just sounds like magic. Whenever I say that, people are like 'lead foot', but you don't need to floor it to enjoy the 392 ci of harmony.

WARNING: the previous statement may contain traces of sarcasm and/or ridiculousness.

Have the resonators been removed?

I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my grandfather.. Not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car.

Nah it has a Corsa sports exhaust, which previous owner installed. Only thing is at 100 km/h it has the dreaded drone when it drops into eco mode...

Well actually John, not sure what I'm going to do. Around town it's awesome, but missus' family is in wonthaggi, and we try to go up with the little ones at least once a month. And for 2 hours it's a constant drone.

So was thinking of getting it back to stock for now, and shelving the Corsa system. Then in the future when the boys are a little older, and can have music up a little (as now I get told to keep it down so they can sleep), it would be an awesome system to have.

But now that you mention it. Might take the system to my exhaust bloke and get him to put flanges on the mufflers so I can try it with and without the rear mufflers. Maybe possibly. We'll see what freight will cost.

anybody know if there is any difference between the 2012 and 2013 srt8 exhausts? I wouldn't have thought there would be.

None at all. Just chop the back resonators off. Best sounding and also the cheapest. Very common mod.
