Not worth creating a thread for this but having a thread to mention to mention something random is better than hijacking another thread.
So feel free to use this for something you wouldn't normally bother creating a new thread for.

So this is just something I found and thought it might be worth applying for just for sh!t5 and giggles.

Still been searching for stuff on how to crack the Uconnect to get voice working and came across this.
http://www.simplyhired.com/job/hands-free-acoustics-product-development-engineer-job/chrysler/nbykafhoal?cid=zycjydlngdpsczsrzmushufofgdjhmad

So went and had a look and there are about 5 other jobs to do with the Uconnect.

If I could just somehow land a job like this, we'll be home and hosed.

You can't track it while it's being built but once you get the VIN and it's shipped out of the factory, you can stalk it all the way to Australia via the shipping company website. Then the people who process the car at the wharf (Prixcar) also have a tracker online.

They were lying about the redline pearl one "coming", it was already there.

Ordered from scratch.

Ordered the end of September
Left the factory sometime in December I guess (late enough for it to be a 2016 build)
Left Baltimore on a ship just after new years
Came off the ship on the 5th of February.
Cleared by Customs on the 10th.
Sat there with seagull crap on it at the wharf until the 17th
Still at Prixcar Minto today.

By the time I get it it will be 5 1/2 months from order to delivery.

Thing is Steve I have never ;liked the Knights and because I use to carry St George around on the coach ,I found them to be great bunch of blokes and a great team that always looked after my coach and me ,so I am more of a St George supporter lol. ::wink::::smile::::big grin::
Cheers
Geoff

Steve I would go over tho whole car body including the wheels to make sure there are no dents or scrapes. You whant the car delivered in mint condition. You never know how the ship loders and truck loders treart your car with straps being tightend around the car for the journey to Ozzi.

You'd know if its got panel damage when you check it on the Prixcar tracker. It says it's getting transported to some prestige smash repair place in Woolongong. They don't hide the fact very well LOL.

I was more thinking it was immobile due to being a lemon, and therefore I theorised mine was left behind because they didn't have a flat bed.

Anyone I'll finally have it on Thursday (dealer called just after my post earlier today), so I guess we'll have to see. I went via a local car yard during my evening walk today and they had some i30's there still covered in the wrapping and white plastic. Filthy dirt, cobwebs, mud, birdshit. Just to think that's what my car probably looks like atm.

Step 1: Obtain VIN

Step 2: Punch it into the cargo ID field on this site https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?frameId=145691864394028098&url=https%3A%2F%2Fatt.2wglobal.com%2Fgstattweb%2Focean.do%3Fmethod%3DgetDefaultOceanQuickSearchPage

Step 3: Note the name of the ship and track it live on Marinetraffic.com (though it only works when the ship is relatively close to a coastline)

Step 4: When it finally lands at it's destination port, switch to tracking the car via this site [E2 - Global Vehicle Tracker]
