Fully Disable Traction Control

Hi All, a mate of mine has a 2005 300C, he reckons he can turn off the traction control completey, something about turning on the ignition, holding esp button down until a "beep" after about 7 seconds and presto no esp.

Trouble is i have tried it on my 2007 5.7 and I get the beep and all that it just doenst seem to change anything. Anyone help so i can do the odd bit of circle work?

cheers

I think the ESP button must be pressed within 5 seconds after starting!

I use it all the time,

You can do at any time so long as the engine is on, does not matter how long you have been driving (you need to be stopped, or going very slow, say 5Km's for it to work).

Just hold down ESP (Extra Slippy Prevention) and then after about 7-8 seconds you get the ding and the trip computer says ESP Disabled.

Then go for it !

Black, you're talking about an SRT8 only feature.

I'm still now sure how this works on non-SRTs of any year.
People swear it works but I don't think it's ever been identified as what builds will do it. I have an early build '06 Charger and have NEVER been able to get any of these tricks to work...

I now have the noESP mod that allows me to hold the button and after 5 seconds it kills the dynamics sensor power.
This causes the ESP/BAS light on the dash and ESP is completely off.
