Custom Control Panel

We had a lot of email and some phone calls after we posted pictures of our T-Handle shifter the other day from folks on the 300C Forums sister site (Charger Forums) as well as over on the lx forums board asking us hey what is that metal plate?

That plate was used to check fit and ultimately became this below. We had a customer come to us ask us "hey guys I really want to use that space next to the shifter to put my various controls what can you do and can you make me some push buttons or switches also, I'll give you my electrical control panel that everythign hooks into."

This is what we did for him. We cut out the center for his read out displays and we custom machined some switches for him.

We also will be custom cutting a couple of other control panels that will be housing Nitros switches and and readout gauges. I'll post pictures of those when they are finished.

Members over on the LX boards have expressed interest in just a simple cover in that spot that they would like to have in colors or have engraves on. If interest is there we may offer this as just a general cover plate down the road.

This is just an example of some of the custom work we can provide.

Some detail. The on/off push buttons were custom machined to fit over the ones on the electric panel the customer provided to us. They just snap right down and lock into place for a nice and secure fit.

Heidi,

That certainly looks like something out of Star Trek. I have no clue about all the little knobs, etc. but it all looks high tecky and good to me!

I would definitely be interested in seeing what you come up with for a cover plate with engraving for this area!! I would like to see something polished with "300" or "TOURING" or something running parallel to the shifter;

Something like this!

Would you consider making a new polished shifter surround incorporating enough material to eliminate the cubby hole? In other words, one complete unit?

Yes, we plan on making the shifter bezel surround and we should begin that piece in a few weeks. We have it drawn up, just waiting for a machine to open up so we can put it in. I do not know if we will offer a whole piece that way. I would say the chances are farily slim. I don't think it would be economical either; you would be using far more material that way and it would drive the cost up. Making a plate cover for the cubby hole is not a major issue or a huge expense.

Hi Bruno, yep I told Dan yesterday lets just put on in the Charger, who cares what it looks like we can be posers and pretenders (remember the fake cell phone )

I do belive this panel is going to control the customers LED's and his air ride setup. I will post pictures of it this weekend, as we will be delivering it to our customer at the ShinDig. I am super curiours as well as to how this is going to work.

I think this may just come about. The gang over on LX forums has expressed interest as well for just a plain cover with colors and perhaps some standard engrave options.
