Cool Smooth's twist on BT goodness...PICS!

So after a few weeks of dinging around I came up with the idea of doing something different with my new underhood BT stuff.

I wanted some Detonator Yellow parts for my under hood stuff but it was going to be too time consuming and $$$ so I did the next best thing, filled the engravings in with Det Yellow paint and then sealing them up.

What do you think? (I don't have it installed yet because I'm waiting for all the rest of my under hood stuff to be complete so be patient with those pics!)

Looks great! Nice work.

So how did you fill the engravings? That is some intricate painting.

I know but I got some more under hood stuff I have to complete before the final "unveil." The final pic after all the installs IMO is gonna be tight for my personal theme under the hood.

Ready?

It's a highly technical maneuver called brushing a paint pen over the grooves to fill them up and then quickly and cleanly wiping the excess away.

I used some 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sanded any small paint excess and then sealed them up with clear enamel and gloss clear coat after that.

Highly skilled huh ?

"Highly technical maneuver"

Didn't even think of that. Nicely done. The BT engine kit is on my list... you've got me thinking...
