And yeah, the coolant tank gets more ugly as you pretty up the rest of the engine bay. It was one of the last things I did, and it probably should have been one of the first... makes a big difference to get that eye sore out of there.

Moroso tanks are really nice - I just didn't want to pay that much. You could also go with a right side cover from 3G, which would cover the coolant reservoir and the power steering reservoir. OR - you could paint it! Much more satisfaction when you do it yourself! I'm certainly not a painter but I managed to pull this off...

how/where did you mount the leds to get that effect? looks awesome!

Here are the updated pics. Man, this is a labyrinth ... a tangled web ... once I update one thing ... other stuff starts sticking out. Manifold ... valve covers ... fuse box cover ... throttle body cover ... hoses ... etc, etc, etc... This could become an addictio.... TOO LATE!!!!
Haha - all of my DIY stuff is "one off"... not because I want to preserve the uniqueness, but rather by the time I'm done then I NEVER want to do it again!! But actually painting the tank is not that tough. And your bay is looking great! The disease has certainly set in - keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Also Fisch is that a sticker you have on your tank? That's sick!
Speedlogix used to have a kit - think they still do. IMO, I thought it was overpriced - I ended up ordering all of my stainless steel hoses individually from Performance Dynamics: getfast1.com. Great prices and really nice SS hose. And if you decide to go blue, I still have a lot of blue anodized hose fittings for sale in my F/S garage sale thread. As far as sizes, I can check when I return home after the holidays. Pretty sure I used -6 AN, -10 AN and -12 AN. Smaller size for the coolant tank internal line as seen in my picture above, medium sized for the other coolant lines, and the larger sizes for catch can and breather lines... I think - I'll check when I get back.

And no, that's not a sticker. I put down a Mopar decal on the tank before painting it black, then pulled the decal. Added lighting underneath and you are seeing the blue light glow through. thanks

Thanks. I taped off some areas on the front to see the coolant level as well, and then taped off some strips on the bottom side before painting... then mounted some LED strips shining up into the tank.

Here's the thread if you want to see more: My painted coolant reservoir with LED's

Certainly something that anybody can do.

Haha - you have no idea how lazy I am... I just GO HARD when I have some time off.

But thanks Matt. I actually had my hood up today and noticed that I was wrong about a couple of hoses... the -6 AN was for ALL of the coolant tank hoses. The -10 AN was for the catch can. And the -12 AN was for the breather line. Somebody already bought my leftover hoses, but as far as the blue fittings I have all of the sizes listed in my F/S thread. I'll try to check and see exactly which ones I used for which hoses.

I hear ya, I work Two jobs and only have one day a week that I'm not working. Never did hoses and sizes before but when you say 10AN for the hose size does that mean the fitting would be a 10AN hose fitting? Not sure what they are called. After talking with my dad about a theme under my hood we figured silver and black would be best but I might change my mind 5 more times like I always do. Thanks for checking that for me! I think I'm going to have an overhaul week in spring and this is one of my many projects. I'm halfway done with the grill I picked up from you too!
