Dave, maybe I missed it, but did you ever figure out if the stop tech brakes will fit on a 300c with srt8 rims?

I have not received the wheels from the project SRT8 yet. However, that won't matter much, since I purchased my own 2006 SRT8 on Wednesday.

Later this week, I'll pull a wheel off the new car and use the StopTech template to measure it. That will let me know exactly how much clearance there is.

I'll also have a slightly used (less than 5,000 miles) StopTech 4-wheel BBK for sale as soon as I remove it from my "ordinary" 300C tomorrow. It has red calipers and slotted rotors with low dust Hawk Performance Ceramic pads. I'll be putting a StopTech kit on the SRT8 in a few weeks. (The SRT8 uses a totally different StopTech kit.)

Congrats Dave, I'll still have to wait in limbo until someone out there can confirm that the stop tech's can work on on 300c with srt8 rims. Until then, save money just in case they do work....

I have the Magnum SRT wheels on my 06 300C and experienced some rubbing at the "elbow" of the front suspension.
A 3 mm (approx. 1/8") spacer took care if it.

To answer your question, yes, the wheel is still centered on the hub. The hub protrudes approx. 2 mm into the centerbore. Not much but this should be enough.

You won't have to wait in limbo very long. I'll be picking up the SRT8 tomorrow (Monday) and should be able to measure the wheels by Tuesday. You'll have an answer within the next couple of days.

I took the front StopTechs off last night and put back the stock 300C brakes. Today, the rear StopTechs come off. I'll be selling the complete 4-wheel StopTech kit for $2,000 off. Photos and more details to follow.

Here's the news you've been waiting for ... (drum roll please)

The StopTech brakes for the 300, 300 Touring, and 300C will work if you install SRT8 wheels on your car. I just took a wheel off my new SRT8 and measured it with the StopTech 300C template. At the closest point, you have 25mm of extra caliper clearance to the back of the spokes. That's a ton of room. There's no question the kit wil fit with plenty of extra room in all dimensions.

In case you're curious about weight, the SRT8 wheel with 245/45-20 Eagle RS-A tire weighs 56 pounds. That's only a couple pounds more than the stock 300C wheel and self sealing 225/60-18 tire. The lighter StopTech rotors will more than make up for the difference.

If anyone is interested in them, I have a set of red StopTech brakes that I just took off my 300C before I traded it in for the SRT8. They have less than 8,000 miles on them and are in perfect cosmetic shape. List was $4995 and I'll take $2,000 off that price. I've carefully boxed up the brakes in their original containers (four 35 pound boxes) and reprinted new installation manuals. The calipers are loaded with Hawk Performance Ceramic brake pads that have less than 4,000 miles on them and virtually no brake dust. (Unlike the calipers on my new SRT8!!) These are the same brakes that I discussed in this thread: StopTech 4-wheel big brake kit installed!

First person to send me an email at david@zeckhausen.com gets dibs on these brakes. If you're local to Maplewood, New Jersey, feel free to come pick them up. I can even install them for you. If you're far away, I can send them via UPS.

I also have a set of Dodge Magnum/Charger wheels in perfect condition with BF Goodrich gForce KDWS tires in 245/55-18. There's not a scratch on the wheels and the tires also have very low miles. I paid $1200 for the wheels alone. I'll sell the wheels and tires for the same amount. These are fantastic summer wheels for the 300, Magnum, or Charger platforms and the tires have loads more grip than the original tires that came with the car. Here's what they look like over the StopTech brakes:

Finally, I have two sets of the original Continental TouringContact 225/60-18 tires with just a few hundred miles on them each. One set is self-sealing and the other set is not. I'll put them up on the 4-sale page shortly. Again, first person to contact me gets dibbs. I'll look up Tire Rack's price on the tires and sell them for 50 percent of that price.
