Brake noise every morning.

Same noise here... temps just recently dropped into the 30s so I too shall try bedding them... people are going to see all of us out on side roads gunning it then breaking and think 300 drivers have all went nuts!

Well, for me it was a challenge to find a spot I could do it 8 times, but I finally got it done. I haven't noticed any squealing.. but I do have a grinding noise, only when cold and only for the first stop. I attribute this to cold pads, and pay it no mind. I have a slight brake judder the last couple of days, so I may need to try your method again if it continues. Thanks for the help!

That's often caused by moisture on the iron rotors causing some very minor surface rust. This rust gets taken off the first time you hit the brakes and that's why the grinding sound goes away.

The "bedding" procedure that is being described will eliminate the "squealing" that you're describing.I was experiencing the same noises but after using the procedure,I was impressed at the results.The "squealing" did come back after a while but a repete rectified it. I now automatically do it every so often as a matter of principle even though I have no noise.Now I consider this to be preventive maintainence every couple of weeks ( only doing it twice )/ no noises !!

Nope, not alone. Now that its getting in the low 30's here in Germany, my 3000 mile 300C does just what you wrote. I had good brake response before, so I never bedded them even though I've read about that since I came here @ april, I'll do that next few days and post results. I usually don't worry about pad noise unless it is pulsating due to warped rotors, or making a grinding sound. The thing I like about this car is it is easier for me to do a brake inspection than any other car I've had.

Just started wiht the real cold weather. Did into happen before. Brakes squeak once and then they are fine once I get going.
