Brake noise every morning.

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem. Every morning I get in my car, back out off the driveway and lightly apply the brake and a loud squeeling comes from the brakes every single time. After a normal to hard brake it goes away. Please let me know. P.S. and only 1,800 miles on my "C"

Really. I might have to bring it to the dealership to have them take a look at it. I know I have read somewhere about someone having to get their rotors turned prematurely like after 3,000 miles. I wonder if this is a related issue.

When my first test drive in my C I told the dealer I wouldn't buy it cause I didn't like the brakes. He had his shop check the brakes and replaced them cause the rotors were warped. After I re-tested the car the brakes were great. That was a spanking new car.

Did those perticullar brakes squeel or did they pulse in the pedal or what?

Take your car out and do a bedding session as described here: http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

Your morning squealing problem will go away.

My 300C has started doing this since about a month ago when it started turning colder here in Wisconsin.

A high squeel as I back out of the garage onto the street. Going forward and braking produces NO such squeel. It only happens that once during the first backout in the morning.

Nice to know that I'm not alone with this. 14,500 miles on my car.

Very curious....

Nope, not alone. Now that its getting in the low 30's here in Germany, my 3000 mile 300C does just what you wrote. I had good brake response before, so I never bedded them even though I've read about that since I came here @ april, I'll do that next few days and post results. I usually don't worry about pad noise unless it is pulsating due to warped rotors, or making a grinding sound. The thing I like about this car is it is easier for me to do a brake inspection than any other car I've had.

The pulsating due to "warped rotors" is actually caused by uneven pad deposits resulting in a thickness variation. Proper bedding can also prevent this from occurring.

You might want to read this technical white paper on the myth of the warped rotor: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...rakedisk.shtml
