100 Miles And Feels Like Bad Rotors

First i like to say hello to all on this site iam new and i just gotten my C a few days ago Man i love my new 2006 300c but when i had to apply the brakes hard it feels like the rear rotors are bad it starts to vibrate in rear of the car and when i test drove a new 2006 touring it did the same thing but worse! so anybody else with this rotor problem?
iam sure my dealer will cut them but is that the cure or like all others in a few thousand miles it will be back?
any know the fix i emailed a few companies making rotors but dont want to jump the gun and spend when no need to and i realize for a street car not to get drilled iam thinking slotted with out being all the way threw to keep them cooler but iam sure most of all is the quality of the rotor material the mexico and china crap is just another problem!

Try following this bedding technique before you call the rotors DOA. http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

If that doesn't cure the problem, bring it back to the dealer for a warranty service visit. There's no way, after only 100 miles, that the brakes should do this and I would not accept having the rotors turned. If bedding doesn't fix it for you, then there's something wrong with the car as delivered and they need to replace components, not modify them.

Did your brakes do this only after you hit 100 miles or did the problem gradually develop over the last several days? From what speeds do you have to brake to make this happen? How hard do you have to press the brake pedal for this to happen?

hey dave
you have to get the car up to say 40 plus to start feeling it in the car not low low speed but do it at 60 and its clear as a bell the tremble and feels like from the rear of the car you dont feel it in the brake pedal but i can feel it more from the rear of the car that why i was thinking bad rotor or maybe like your saying i need to bed the brakes from the car laying on the lot i never heard of your method but i will give it a shot.
i did not apply the brakes heavy until a 100 miles now iam at a big 150 miles maybe but i must say this pisses me off alittle but other wise iam very impressed with the car

Excuse me, but I must ask. Have you driven ABS brakes before? It sounds like it may be just the normal action of the ABS.

He said he did not feel it in the brake pedal. If it was ABS, the feedback from the accumulator pump moving fluid back into the master cylinder reservoir would be very noticable in the brake pedal. It's only the pure brake-by-wire cars, like the last generation Mercedes sedans, that give you zero ABS feedback in the pedal.

The bedding process should work it out,it did for me and now I find myself automatically bedding every so often.I agree with Dave -- DO NOT let them cut the rotors; If there is an inherent problem insist on new ones and demand the old parts back ( just a word of wisdom).

Proper bedding tecniques will eliminate "squeaking" as well as cutting down on brake dust.So much better to keep the wheels shiny.

Because bedding will probably eliminate the problems. Bedding is not something that is being suggested to fix a manufactuting defect. Bedding is an important part of preparing new brakes for optimum performance. You should do it every time you buy a new car or install new pads and rotors.

It would be a waste of time to go back to the dealer with a complaint if bedding will fix the problem.

What He said -- It's an easy fix and as I have put it earlier, a good methodology to incorporate into your normal driving.
