E-Brake

Does the e-brake in 300C brake only the front wheels or all of 'em?

Back only. When I took my front wheels off a few days ago, with emergency brake on, the fronts still spun.

i dont think any ebrake does the front wheels. merceds has a cool thing when the door opens and the car aplies all 4 brakes for a sec, but thats it.

Wish I knew. I've been back to the dealer to get it adjusted but it still doesn't hold. The dealer says they can't adjust it any further.

the e-brake doest work too good on most of the 300s ...only because its not an emergancy break..its a parking break...its only there to keep the car stationary...but if your doin 20km/h on the street and u hit the parkin break..it barly slows the car down..infact mine pulls the car on idle wit the parking break on

Actually, the 1986 Saab 900 parking brake operates the front wheels. I'm sure several of their other models did too. But that's an oddball car!

Most parking brakes operate on the rear wheels, either via the use of a pair of drum brake shoes that clamp against a drum built into the rear rotor, or they use a ratcheting mechanism inside the rear brake calipers to clamp the rear disc. The 300C uses a drum mechanism.
