Noise from brake pedal anyone ?

I had a squeaking noise that was coming from above the brake pedal and only the first 2 inches of travel from the top. I took it to the dealer and was told there is a bracket that needs to be greased, they greased it and the noise was still there. So I took the panel above the pedals off and could see the grease they put on. I then pressed the brake pedal to hear the noise and could not tell wear it was coming from, then I put my hand on a spring that is wrapped around a plastic bar and the noise was lower. I then took the grease they had all over the place and put it on the spring with my finger, the noise was lower put still there. I then put some liquid lubricate I have from my RC Helicopter field box and the noise was gone.

My brake pedal just makes a slightly annoying clicking sound whenever it's being utilized.

I put out the same question some time ago. Its the spring rubbing on the brake arm. Either grease the arm where the spring rests or wrap the spring with tape to keep it from resonating.

I thought it was my Ultimate pedals at first, but I'm really not sure what it is.

Yeah, that's the same thing my dealer tried to blame it on, until I advised them that it was actually present prior to the 'Ultimate Pedals' installation. The right-side dashboard rattle (after the 'window clack' TSB 'fix') is actually more annoying to me.

Once I had that noise quite I noticed a clicking sound also. There is a switch in the gear shift panel that locks the gear shift until you press the brake.

For every one of you who has adjustable pedals, simply move them.

A quarter inch is enough. In either direction. (If the first direction didn't fix it go the other way. A half inch this time, to be a quarter inch beyond original location.

Verify the mystery noise is now gone.

So, is this clicking noise 'normal' then?

Although the noise is more noticeable than it is irritating to me, you'd seem that my dealer would've at least acknowledged its probable existence, rather than to just hand me their convenient 'we were unable to duplicate the problem' excuse.

Thanks for the tip Meister...I'll give it a shot.
