Thumbs up New Rotors, AWD

Hi, just wanted to thank Zeckhousen Racing for their help on replacement rotors on my AWD 300C, installed them today and also painted the calibers. Since I put on my new Mc2 rims, it seemed like I had to also change my underwear, meaning that now you can see right in to the heart of the matter and did not want to see rust and ugly hardware (ugly hardware has nothing to do with my underwear) anyway they are drilled and slotted and feel and look good, so now I can die with clean underwear and not worry. Hope this is a good endorsement for your product Dave, if not sorry.

Hey Bob,

I know that's a great look. I have an AWD also, and had a terrible time finding drilled or slotted rotors for it. In fact I contacted Zeckhausen (just a couple months ago) and the responded with zip, so I assumed they didn't have anything available (it's against my principles to "chase" someone who seems to want to sell me things, but then doesn't respond). I'm supposing this was just a "s..t happens" kind of thing, since Zeckhausen does seem to have a good reputation on this forum.

As I'm sure you know "we don't make that for AWD, only RWD" is a VERY common situation. Hopefully the aftermarket suppliers will "catch up" sometime . . . but ? ?

I finally just bought a stock set from my Chrysler dealer and had them drilled! It was a racing shop in California, and I'm sure they knew what they were doing. They look good. Also painted my calipers.

If you get some pics, please post, I'd like to see.

I have a couple more things I'm doing to mine, then I will post pics too.

Ed

Understand, I also feel the same as you, don't want to call more then once. but there is a problem here on the forums regarding P.M's and I don't think that this company would not return calls, please try again and ask for Dave, and you will be happy to know that your questions will be answered

Was that a PM, an email, or a phone message that went unanswered? It worries me to hear that you weren't able to reach me and I would like to know which mechanism let you down. I do get buried from time to time, but I try to get back ASAP to any phone messages or emails.

Check out: http://www.zeckhausen.com/Chrysler/300C.htm and scroll down past the StopTech big brake kits. The first rotors listed are for the V6 models. $69 each for front and $50 each for rear in plain.

They're not currently available just slotted or just drilled. But they are available slotted AND drilled. Pricing is $115 (front) and $96 (rear) each. I'm not a big fan of slotted AND drilled rotors, since I cater primarily to the road racing crowd. On the track, the norm is slotted only. But the combination of slotted and drilled is very popular on the street. I suppose I have to yield to market forces. I would just caution you (as I cautioned Big Bob) that these rotors are not for road racing or high speed driving schools at the race track. No problems for street or drag strip.

It was a forum PM.

Thanks for the response here. And I think I really should apologize to you for the "tone" of my posting in reply to BigBob. After I read it on the forum, it DID sound a bit harsh, and I didn't mean to be trashing you. As I noted you DO have a great rep here.

I think I had just searched for so long that I was about ready to give up anyway. I probably should have been a LITTLE more persistent. Not much aftermarket "stuff" for the AWD in general, as I guess you know, so I was just generally frustrated.

EdinAZ.
