Need new front rotors and pads

i need to get new front rotors and pads. my rotors are warped after only 11,000 miles and the front pads are almost gone. my friend who owns a shop told me he could get me wagner rotors and pads. i have heard that bosch also makes them. i dont want slotted or drilled rotors, just good quality replacements for the OEM's. any suggestions? thanks in advance

Why did your rotors/pads fail so soon? Is this more residual damage from that bitch Wilma? I thought the 5.7 had a pretty stable brake system…..like no squealing, dusting, etc. unlike the 6.1. Good luck in your search.

i have no squealing not a lot of brake dust. i just somehow warped the front rotors. its not the first time i have done it. on my 2000 toyota sequoia i did the same thing but it was closer to 25,000 miles when it was taken care of. i noticed about 2 months ago that at high speeds 70-80 miles an hour when i hit the brakes the car would shake very violenty. i guess i just drive my car hard. lol. but isnt that the fun of having such a fast car. i have been seriously been thinking about trading in my C in the next 6-8 months since i have gotten a new job. i am hoping by then i can swing an SRT8. until then i need to get this problem taking care of. for the wagner rotors i was quoted $100 each. that is the price my friend gets from his parts dealer. the whole job was gonna run me about $325 for the new rotors and pads with installation. so i need to find out if they are good rotors and pads or not.

Before you spend any money replacing your front rotors, try bedding the brakes to see if the judder problem goes away. See: http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

The rotors are not warped. You simply have a thickness variation caused by uneven deposits of pad materials. If it hasn't been giving you problems for long, there's a good chance the bedding process will reduce or eliminate the brake judder you're now experiencing. Make sure, of course, that you have enough front pad material left to do a bedding session without getting all the way down the the pads' steel backing plates.

If you still decide to go ahead with rotor and pad replacements, I can save you some money here. The Centric rotors are better than Wagner and $40 less expensive for the front pair. See: http://www.zeckhausen.com/Chrysler/300C.htm

Hey Dave, do those Centric rotors also fit 2005 Magnum? Your website does not show rotors for Magnum or Charger 5.7? Thanks.

I think I have the same problem. Not so much on emergency braking, but more noticeable when braking real hard, such as hard slowing/stopping for an upcoming bridge toll plaza. I have 18.5k miles on my car.

BTW, I had my front rotors and pads replaced under warranty with only 7k miles on the car. I was getting the brake vibration and scrubbing noise with moderate to hard braking. Dealer said the rotors were out of round.

It does now. Sorry about the omission!

Yes, they fit all three platforms.

I've just modified the web page so you can click on the rotor part numbers and see a schematic drawing of the rotor and a list of all the critical dimensions. That should make it easier to be sure you've ordered the correct part. Let me know what you think.

Thanks Dave, question - is this link for the LX part?

http://genesis.centricparts.com/pictures/12063061.jpg

Why is the bolt pattern 5x4.50 which is 5x114.3 instead of 5x115 and the hub 72.64 (2.86") instead of 71.5?
