Drilling Rotors

I am purchasing a Big Brake kit and was wondering if anyone knows anywhere but the dealer for some rear rotors (I want to send them off to be drilled), this car is so new it may be the only place to get a set. Any one installed the Stoptech rears yet? Want to sell your old rear rotors?

I've heard bad things happening from drilled rotors, slots are GREAT, but drilled rotors have a tendency to crack between the holes..... and cracks in your brake rotors aren't good for stopping when they break into peices....

Yes I know drilling is not preferred in the racing world, this is not a RACE car. I am prepping it for future shows, etc. I assure you that most would agree that drilled rotors are better "looking". Can anyone answer why the AMG benz has drilled rotors?

just didn't know if you had thought about it... heavy braking is what does it, and with the threads that I've read about the heat problems with the brakes, I was just makin sure you knew about it....

good luck with it, and yes drilled rotors do look cool..... no doubt about that.....

BTW your truck looks SWEET... I built a '91 TT Z32 a few years back that may give it a run for it's money on the highway.

Z32, isn't that a FWD V6?? with twin turbo's??? if it'll hook it'd give ANYTHING a run.... sounds awesome, PM me with some pics and stuff, I'd like to see how you pulled that off....
right now I'm waiting on my dad to finish getting the garage boxed in so that I can put the rockershafts back on and measure for the pushrods.......... once it gets back runnin, it'll be fun no doubt, and the dual stage nitrous will give it a bit of a kick too.....

Actually it is a RWD Nissan 300ZX. info here www.importsextreme.com/mycar/

It used to make Highway runs against "almost" anything...

Nobody has installed the StopTech rears yet. StopTech is still working on the proper flare fitting and brackets for the rear lines. When they are done, I will probably be the first one to have them on my car, since the kit is already here. Probably about two weeks from now.
