brake upgrade for 22 inch rims?

Hi, I just put on some 22's on my C and was wondering what upgrades should i do for the brakes. Cause from what I've been reading the new wheels will wear out the brake pads pretty quickly. Are upgraded pads and stainless steel brake lines good enough? Thanks.

I've not had a problem. If you have the coin, go for the Brembo's that come on the SRT-8.

Good question. Why do Brembos cost so much? production costs? r&d? It seems there is a good market out there for mid level brakesets, something that has slightly better performance to compensate for big wheels and looks better but could be had for closer to $2k.

So are you saying that "Hawk pads" are the key? Or is it the rotors?

I was considering weighing in on this thread but I really have nothing new to report. In the time since I've done my upgrade, I'm just barely ready to bed in my new pads this coming weekend (it's taken a while to wear off the zinc coating on the rotors and it's not a daily driver). Also since these where put on just prior to my rims I can't give a comparison vs stock w/ 22s. But to answer Dark Fury's question I would think that the pads and the stainless lines would make the most difference, the rotors imo are mainly cosmetic.
I think if someone is really considering this they should talk to Dave at Zeckhausen, he knows his sh!t.
