also, what about a pad and fluid change on the stock 300c to give it a better feel?

i'm asking because a pad, line and fluid change on my STi was like installing new brakes, it was amazing.

Those are available right now. I have them on my web site at http://www.zeckhausen.com/Chrysler/300C.htm

Here's a photo of the rear lines:

The brake fluid in your car is fine, since it isn't old enough to have absorbed significant moisture. However, it has been my experience that the factory usually leaves behind plenty of air bubbles when they build these cars. A good bleed, following all the tips in my brake bleeding article (http://www.zeckhausen.com/bleeding_brakes.htm), can make a surprising difference in pedal feel. Combine that with stainless lines and higher Cf pads and you've got a nice upgrade.

At the moment, the pad shape in the 300C is too new for the aftermarket to have stepped in with any decent performance brake pads. Akebono ProACT Ceramic pads are available, but these are no better than what you already have from the factory. As soon as something good comes along, I'll add it to my web site and post something about it here.

Dave, thank you for the update! Once I get my car back I'll make the brake lines a priority, then while installing them i can bleed them properly!

I just got off the phone with my local parts counter guy. He tells me the front brake lines on the AWD 300C are a different part number than the front brake lines on the RWD 300C. This tells me it's unlikely the aftermarket 300C brake lines from Goodridge or StopTech will fit the AWD model.

That's not the final word, but it's a high probability answer. I'll continue looking into this.

There shouldn't really be anything to it, all you have to know is the length of the lines. The braided lines are pretty much standard dia. or tube size. The banjo bolts are the same. Just carefully measure the length of your front lines, and order that same lenght and your home free.
