SRT8 Brake Dust

Just wondering if any SRT8 owners have noticed a large amount of brake dust all over their wheels. I washed my car, including the wheels 2 days ago. The wheels were spotless before I took it out for a drive. After driving about 100 km's (60 miles), I noticed the wheels were filthy, epsecially behind the spokes.

Also, what's the best method of cleaning behind the spokes. I don't think I could even drive up a ramp with this car as it's so low in the front. There's no jack for the car either and it's too low to be able to lie under it. I do have a pressure washer so hopefully that may work. The only other option I can see is to remove the wheels every time I wash it, but then again there's no jack.

Never mind. I solved it myself. There is just enough room between the spokes to clean the inner surface. I do however require medical assistance. The edges of the spokes are very sharp & I cut myself several times. The blood loss is minimal. I called the doctor and he said to take 2 Fukitols and call him in the morning.

Nurse Linda here:
Have band-aids will travel....
Fee schedule: the chance to drive your SRT-8
- 1 cut = 30 minute drive
- 2 cuts = 60 min drive, etc.

Bring blood (O+). Just don't unplug me. I wanna LIVE & that's in writing! There are conditions however if you want a ride...a home cooked meal.

Linda: Got home at 5AM & thought I'd see wat up "dog". I noticed the Furry thing & I couldn't resist getting Emma up. How long did your Great Dane live & what did he/she die from? My son's dog had to have emergency surgery for whatever you call it when the stomach twists. Very expensive. Come to think of it, I paid for it & he still owes me! It's a must to have insurance on that kind of dog.

I was fooling around with the Nav earlier. Very cool. I never had one before. Did you know there's a place in California called Linda? Looks like it's just a little Northeast of San Francisco.

You obviously misunderstood me... I said I wanna DRIVE (not ride) & that's in writing! I could live with those conditions, I'm a helluva cook but you're too far away

I was wondering why Emma wasn't gracing the pages of the "Furry" thread? My Great Dane lived to 10 yrs. which is tops for their life expectancy of 8-10 yrs. I adopted her at 5 yrs. She never got torsion or bloat, but it's one of the most common causes of sudden death in Danes... your son was lucky! I had to have my Dane put to sleep about 2 weeks before my 40th birthday, so she'll be gone 13 years next month and it still seems like yesterday. We think she had a mini-stroke as she developed a partial paralysis and had to be carried up & down the stairs. There was a chance she could recover, but she in fact worsened and I couldn't let her suffer.

I never heard of the town called Linda... but then they probably never heard of me either!

Rambit,

There's a good thread in the Brake Discussion from Zeckhausen on "bedding" in the brakes..
On cleaning the spokes, get some surgical gloves, and coat em' with car wash soap and you can get behind em'.

sung to the tune of "Car Wash"
