Brembo-like Calipers???

Hi, Now I have got the engine sorted the brakes are at the top of my list.

Favorites are the willwood brakes as I have been quoted by one of the vendors on this site, but I was surfing ebay and came upon these, I have done a bit of digging and theye are very reputable in the ricer scene and wondered if anyone had any thoughts, you might notice the price is amazing, and just what exactly is involved in have a fitting kit made for these capilers.

BTW I don't need to be told Brembos are the best etc, i'm looking at the price and thinking these would be an improvement over the std brakes and I don't race the car so it might be a viable answer...your thoughts please.

Mark

Must be China Brembo's of some sort.
I'm sure they would work better than the stock calipers if you can mount them.
Having to have a machine shop make brackets in order to mount, I would think it would be less expensive to start with a set of take off SRT Brembo's. You should be able to get a set of front and rear calipers for less then $795 that's for sure. At least you know they work.

Amazing what anyone can do with a good three axis mill today.

"Buy it now for $795" Meaning they are $400ea.
With no pads.
No hardware.
No brackets.
No hoses.

Oh sure; you can get all that....Figure on $85-100 for pads, $35-50 for all the proper hardware. Another $85 for hoses (if you can find some that work) and those brackets...oh those "have your buddy make them" brackets...You can expect those to run you about $400 for the pair.

Not quite the sweet deal it first looks.

Sure would be nice! I also own a SRT Design and would love the hell out adding a 'brembo' style or Brembo brake system. Same as you, I don't race the dang this but it sure looks pretty.

NFW a company with these ethics gets a dime of my money.

I'm not sure how you interpreted it, but the "you" was meant to be the universal you, as in the generic prospective consumer, and not you, wildmark.

Anyone who uses knockoff anything -- be it SRT8 emblems on a non-SRT ride, or a fake Rolex watch -- is a jackass poser to me, but all the more so with fake Brembos.
