I have a 2005 300c, I just recentley put some 22inch wheels on her with 35series tires and the braking feels diffrent.I have the stock brakes on her and they dont feel like they can do the job. Do i need 2 upgrade the brakes because now i have bigger wheels? any suggestions?

brembo brake kit

I had the same issue, with my '05, so I finally splurged on a set of Brembo's front and back, and the whole car rides better. Not only does it brake smoothly and quickly if necessary, but i was getting some shimmering with the old brakes. Even the steering feels better when brakes are applied with the upgrade. It is expensive. The other thing was, i felt that i should change the factory brake pads because of the shimmering or pulsating that i felt, and my old calipers were coated with a layer of rust after 3 winters, so i made the whole change to Brembo's. They are available in kit packages from a few locations on the net. The kits have everything, but will take 1/2 day or so at your local garage to install. they claim that you can do it yourself, and maybe i could, but would probably have to do it over several days, because i always find a way to make a job longer, and usually have to invest in some new tool which i will never use again. It is amazing how many guys notice the brembo's under my wheels.

Question to everyone, since my factory brakes has been rust coated after a couple of years, is there anything that will keep my brembo's looking new and shiny? Of course i take the car to a wand wash and rinse thoroughly. Any other suggestions?

What's happened here is you've increased your unsprung weight with the bigger wheels. Depending on how much more they weigh will cause poorer braking performance and it's also hard on the suspension too. Sounds like you just may need to upgrade your brakes...not cheap! This will give you an idea of the cost for a Stop Tech big brake kit from DaveZ - Chrysler 300C Products: StopTech big brake kits, stainless steel braided brake lines, Tires

Any idea what the wheels/tires weigh?

I assume you're talking about rust on the rotors. They all rust because they're cast iron, but after one or two brake applications it gets removed fast.

You can also bed your brakes and this will put a thin coat of pad material on the rotors which will also improve braking. Here's instructions on that - Instructions for bedding in your brakes.
