Brake conversion

Will the SRT brakes interchange with the SRT/Design? I was thinking it might since it has the performance package upgrade and 20 inch wheels on it. Would like to put the four piston calipers and slotted rotors on my car. Wander if there is tech that can answer this inquirey.Any advise would be helpful. Thanks

From what I hear on here and other boards it's a bolt up operation. You do need the spindles off an SRT8, though. I haven't heard of any real problems, and I know the parts are in the junkyards.

Lot's of people have done this, hopefully someone will chime in.... anyone?

Are stock 300C brakes really that bad? Doing research on Motor Trend, the 300C has 13.6" rotors in the front, and 12.6" in the rear. Is this information incorrect? Or is it just that the rotors are too thin, or is it a pad issue, or both?

not...

no, the stock brakes are not that bad. Actually kind of "robust" for a luxo sedan kind of car.

I am coming to believe that about 1/2 of the problems are due to improper or no bedding of the brakes. This accounts for many of the "warped" rotor issues as well as the squealing and other complaints.

And the aftermarket is ready for you with pad and rotor upgrades to increase your performance with no big $$$ required.

Search function is your friend. You can find it here.
