Question Jack points on SRT8

So I only have 18k miles but my front drivers pad is beyond gone (grinds as of yesterday) and the front passengers pad isn't far behind. The owner's manual doesn't say where you can safely jack up the vehicle, so where's are the spots? I need to change my pads this weekend before a 1200 mile round trip.

Here's a great thread that'll tell you everything you need to know.

How-To: Installing low-dust brake pads on an SRT8

That thread sure has helped a lot of folks since it was first put up!

here's the page from the service manual... I take it to every place I have work on my car, and give a copy to the supervisor, and sometimes even tape a copy to the steering wheel. never know.

let us know how the pad change works out...

Maybe he's out doing it now!

Just wanted to mention and extremely important comment at the bottom of Dave's thread that may go unnoticed. It probably should be bolded and in red IMO.

PUMP YOUR BRAKES AFTER THE JOB IS DONE BEFORE YOU TAKE OFF!!! (or words to that effect).

Yeah, nothing like that first step on the brakes after a brake job when you are at 60 mph when you don't follow that advice!

No, I believe the 300(c) is ok. Don't quote me on this tho.

Question about pushing the pods back in... On my Integra, you had to open the bleader screw on the caliper so the fluid exits as you retract the pod(s) on the caliper. I noticed on that write up, it didn't mention anything like that. So does this mean it's not required to do so? If so, does this make it harder to push them back into the caliper since there is more resistance?

TIA

No, there's no need to open the bleeder at all. You'll find these are the simplest brake pads to install. Takes about 4 minutes per wheel.
