Replacing rear rotors and pads - parking brake?

All,

Just ordered a set of rear slotted rotors and pads from DZeckhausen. His instructions for installing new pads are awesome, and looks fairly straight forward. It also states that the caliper just comes off with 2 bolts, so the rotor swap should be pretty easy as well. However, I just thought about the parking brake.

I have swapped front rotors before, but never rears. Is there anything I need to do for the parking brake? Anybody have an instructional? Also, instructions for adjusting the parking brake would be great too.

Thanks,
Jim

That's a great question Jim. As far as I know it's never been asked here. All I can offer is the pages from the manual for you. Hopefully that'll get you going on this. I've done them on my trucks in the past and I imagine it's a similar job.

What would be nice is for you to do a little write up with pics as you go along to help others in the future.

Jim, I just noticed you have a 2005 300C SRT8. I just gotta get some information from you about this car. I hope you realize there were only 252 + 11 pilots made, so it's RARE!

You don't have enough posts to be able to send a PM, so the only way I can tell you a lot of things about your car if you care to post your VIN in this thread. I'd need the six numbers after 5H. You could also start a new thread titled something like "Need Information About My 2005 300C SRT8" or something like that in the SRT8 Discussion Forum.

Either that or get your post count over 10 so you can enable private messaging. You already have over 10 days here now.

When I was looking at cars to buy, I only did performance research, I didn't research the "rarity" of this vehicle.

Great stuff Jim. Once you get 10 posts, go into your User CP (at the top of every page), look on the left for Edit Options, scroll down a little and put a check to the left of Enable Private Messaging. After you've done that scroll all the way to the bottom and click Save.

Yep, they were only built for one month and were VERY hard to get. Hope you still have the two piece fascia/lip spoiler!!! They don't make them any more.

Can't find the "enable PM" check box...does it take a little time after your 10th post?
