Thumbs down Powerslot Rotors are a rip-off.

You know folks, when I hear a company hawking how great their product is, I tend to believe that THEY engineered it to be better than a stock component. In the case of Powerslot rotors, this simply is a lie.
As many early 300C owners know, the factory Bosch rotors warped pretty quickly. I passed on the dealers offer to turn them, and even passed when they finally offered to replace them with new factory rotors.
I instead spent money on Powerslot rotors, figuring all the hype they spend on ads must mean they have improved on the OEM.
Imagine my suprise when the rotors that showed up, in Powerslot boxes, where the EXACT SAME BOSCH ROTORS THAT CAME WITH THE CAR, part number and all, and, oh yea, now they had 5 little grooves cut in them. My buddy with a CNC Bridgeport could have done that if I wanted the stock rotors back on the car!
Being my optimistic (dumb ass) self, I tried them on the car with stock pads and sure enough, they warped just like the factory rotors. It did take a little longer, but the judder in the wheel just became too much to take a second time around.
I wrote to Powerslot, and of course they won't even admit the plain truth, that they just sold me stock rotors in their own box.
I have since switched to EDC brand and am having good results with the Optimax rotors and Akebono pad combination.
I could never trust Powerslot again and have lost all respect for such a company. Beware to all how you spend your cash on "upgrades".

I bought a pair of these for a car I had years ago. They actually warped quicker than the stock ones. I ended up just buying some OEM ones to replace the replacement ones. I wouldn't buy powerslot rotors again for any car.

as my old dad said(god bless him)buy off someone who has a good reputation who has had 0-5 outta 100 comebacks(nobody's perfect).
I always fit Brembo discs/rotors on any motor that comes in our shop,no comebacks in 13 years in business

What were you expecting?? A rotor of the same size and construction won't offer you anything but a replacement. While there's nothing wrong with these parts, there's nothing to be gained either. You buddy could have cut some 3/16" wide slots in them and you'd have the same end result- so correct.

I saw a few bad reviews on the web about them, so I bought the sportstops in my signature.

Sorry it happened to you! I know how deficient these brakes are after I had my car almost 2 years on the autobahn... talk about crappy brakes at Euro speeds!

I drove the autobahn so much in my last 6 years in germany (2 with the 300C) I was actually glad to come home to the US and slow down...

no joke... sometimes you just want to look at the scenery.

I have Powerslots in one of my Honda autocross cars and haven't had any trouble, I also wonder if they are 'real' or fakes...

Either way that sucks, thanks for the heads up!
